The Northern Rockies Lodge is located in Northeastern British Columbia, in the heart of the Muskwa-Kechika Wilderness area in Muncho Lake Provincial Park, at mile 462 of the historic Alaska Highway. Travel options to the Northern Rockies Lodge include an all-inclusive package (with airfare) from Vancouver or a self-driven itinerary via the Alaska Highway.

All of our packages are available from Vancouver and include the 3 hour flight with Central Mountain Air to Fort Nelson. Followed by a 2 1/2 hour scenic drive over the most visual astounding vistas the Alaska Highway has to offer to emerald green Muncho Lake. On your journey to Muncho Lake you will be traveling through the Muskwa-Kechika Wilderness area and have the opportunity to observe a myriad of wildlife in their natural habitat.

BY ROAD

The Northern Rockies Lodge is easily reached via paved and well-maintained roads from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Whitehorse. We are at Mile 462 of the world famous Alaska Highway! For visitors to Nahanni National Park, Muncho Lake on the Alaska Highway is the closest departure point accessible by fully paved roads. Many interesting circular travel routes go through Muncho Lake.

By Greyhound

The Greyhound bus travels by the Northern Rockies Lodge three times every week.  Travel hubs for the Greyhound bus are Whitehorse, Edmonton and Vancouver.  Greyhound travel is by far the most cost effective way to reach the Norhthern Rockies Lodge.
